Thank you for your interest in the 2023 BearVault Adventure Ambassadors! We are thrilled to amplify your stories and adventures out to our community. Ten ambassadors from all sorts of backgrounds heading on all types of adventures will be chosen.

Here is what you will be asked to contribute if selected for this opportunity:

A quick bio
3-5 high-quality & creative TikToks/Reels
3-5 simple TikToks/Reels
3-4 short articles about your adventure (You don’t have to be an amazing writer, just be passionate about your adventure!)
1 Social Media Takeover
If applicable, periodic mini-check-ins from your adventure

If selected, we will work together to create a schedule to spread these contributions out through the year so that this stays easy and you can focus on keeping the adventure going!

Here is what you will receive as a 2023 BearVault Adventure Ambassador:

A BearVault canister of your choice
½ of the $500 stipend a few weeks before you start your adventure
½ of the $500 stipend when your adventure ends and you finish your content contributions
Fun BearVault swag and goodies
Other fun surprises yet to be revealed
The opportunity to share your story with our community and leave a permanent record of your adventures!

What types of adventures qualify?

Whether you are hiking the entire Appalachian trail or have a family canoeing trip planned in the boundary waters you qualify for this program! We are looking for trips of all types in all shapes and sizes. What matters most is that you are going overnight into bear habitat!

What if I’m not a fantastic writer?

That’s just fine! What matters is your passion for adventure. We can help you edit and publish your piece. If need be, we can even interview you on the phone for the articles.

What if I’m based outside the United States?

Pitch us on the idea! While we are focusing on adventures in the United States and Canada, perhaps you are going into bear country in Japan or Europe. We would love to review your application!

What if I want to do video content with just my phone?

You don’t need to be Stephen Spielberg and have a cinema camera to be a BearVault ambassador! Just your phone + free editing tools like Instagram and TikTok are plenty to make fun and engaging videos.

What if I’m doing a series of smaller adventures rather than one big adventure?

That sounds like a lot of fun! We are accepting applications from all types of adventures.

What if I’ve already started a 2023 thru-hike?

No problem! Congratulations on getting on the trail. If selected, we can work together to get your canister to you on the trail and work with your 0 days.

What if I don’t have a ton of experience in the outdoors?

That’s great! Being passionate about learning new things and experiencing the outdoors is a great story that needs to be told. We look forward to reviewing your application.

When are applications due by?

The last day to submit your application is April 1st, 2023.
